Angela Bassett’s story has taught me that if I set my mind to anything, no matter how many odds are against me, I can achieve my goals. She also has shown me that black women can be very successful in life. Not only that but her story revealed to me that sometimes a teacher’s slight push can make a HUGE difference in your life.
